What is ClearStep?
ClearStep is an aligner system that’s capable of correcting a wide range of orthodontic issues. It uses a series of custom-made aligners, also known as positioners, to guide the teeth and gently move them into the correct spot for a truly beautiful smile.
ClearStep aligners are removable and they are made from clear plastic, so you can hardly notice them. This not only means that you don’t have to deal with comments or judgements from others, but you can smile with confidence during the entire treatment process.
Who can benefit from Clearstep?
Clearstep is suitable for a wide range of patients with minor and moderate orthodontic issues and is an excellent option for those who are wary of visible braces and would prefer a removable appliance to a fixed brace. We do not recommend this treatment for patients under the age of 14, but otherwise it is a good match for most patients.
How does Clearstep work?
ClearStep works by using a series of aligners to move and straighten the teeth. Each one of the aligners is slightly different and the changing shape accommodates tooth movement. Each aligner is worn for two weeks and then swapped for the next in line until treatment is complete. It is important that the aligners are worn in the correct order and that they are in place for at least 21 hours per day. The aligners are designed to be taken out when you brush your teeth and when you are eating, which makes it much easier to enjoy your food and keep your teeth and gums clean and healthy.
