How does treatment work?
Veneer treatment can usually be completed in two sessions. Before treatment, we invite patients to pop in for an informal consultation so we can go through the treatment process, check your teeth, make sure that you are a good candidate for veneer treatment and answer any questions you have.
We’ll prepare the teeth during the first session and fit the veneers during the second appointment. Preparing the teeth involves gently etching away a very thin layer of the tooth structure to make space for the veneers and facilitate bonding. We then create impressions of the teeth and these are used to make your bespoke veneers.
The impressions are sent away to the dental lab and your veneers will be fabricated by incredibly skilled dental technicians. Once we have received your custom-designed veneers, it’s time to fit them. This involves placing them on your teeth and fixing them firmly using dental adhesive.
